For more than 20 years, British-born commercial photojournalist, filmmaker, presenter and explorer Sky B has led visual productions across Europe, the United States, Africa and beyond.
Commercial photojournalism, videography, presenting, editing and international field production.
Three governments, Fortune 500 companies, global nonprofits and magazine publication including Rolling Stone.
Four Namibia journeys plus Botswana and Uganda; tracking chimpanzees and gorillas near the Congo; boating through Brazil's Pantanal in search of jaguars while learning about Jaguar Identification projects; and documenting 20+ Gondwana Collection Namibia lodges and conservancies.
150,000+ verified channel views from real wildlife, conservation, medical-mission and global adventure stories.
An established run-and-gun presenter and documentarian, Sky is equally comfortable leading a crew, embedding with an expedition or deploying alone with his cameras. His assignments and self-driven journeys have carried him through Botswana, Namibia, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Honduras. Beyond commissioned productions, his appetite for discovery has taken him sailing across the Atlantic to Brazil, travelling by boat deep into the Pantanal in search of wild jaguars and the work of Jaguar Identification projects, driving alongside the Congo region, and hiking five active volcanoes across Indonesia. Wherever the story leads—factory floor, operating theatre, desert track, rainforest or open ocean—Sky goes beyond simply recording what happened: he brings audiences inside the experience.
Working with creative teams or operating independently in the field, he transforms complex businesses, global brands, government initiatives and extraordinary human stories into powerful photography and cinematic film.
His assignments have taken him inside Amtrak engineering operations, Procter & Gamble facilities, Airbus helicopter engineering, advanced surgical-technology environments, African eco-lodges and wildlife conservancies. He has worked beside elite surgeons, medical teams and wildlife veterinarians, documenting life-saving human and animal interventions across the Americas and Africa. His award-winning body of work includes photography published in Rolling Stone, and he was part of the first media team invited inside the rebuilding of Los Angeles's first COVID-19 surge facility—photographing the transformation and interviewing the doctors and medical teams preparing for an unprecedented emergency.
With a background in Biology and Environmental Science and a lifelong fascination with National Geographic and Discovery Channel storytelling, Sky is equally at home in the wilderness and the operating room. He has photographed and filmed pro-bono surgeons in Los Angeles and joined medical outreach missions in Honduras, documenting surgical teams and patient care from inside real operating theatres. That scientific curiosity has naturally led him in front of the camera too, translating complex, urgent and extraordinary work into accessible human stories.
As the founder of Unicorn Productions L.A., Sky creates cinematic photography and film for international brands, governments, hospitals, engineers, nonprofits, tourism organisations and wildlife projects. His photography has been published in magazines including Rolling Stone, and he has worked with healthcare and homelessness nonprofits across Los Angeles as well as eco-conservancies throughout Africa. In November 2026 he returns to Namibia to photograph and film 13 eco-conservancy lodges, adding to more than 15 lodges he has already documented across the country.
A professional Canon photographer and videographer with over 20 years of experience and more than 800 international assignments, Sky also works with DJI and GoPro systems for aerial, stabilised, action and expedition coverage. He can research, interview, present, photograph, film, record sound, edit and colour-grade—bringing the instincts of a photojournalist, the knowledge of a science graduate and the curiosity of a lifelong explorer to every production.
A growing interactive map of assignments, expeditions and documentary work
From wildlife veterinary teams and African eco-lodges to medical environments, engineering facilities, political campaigns and travel expeditions, Sky is comfortable working where real stories unfold. He photographs, films, interviews and presents—often carrying a project from research and field production through editing, colour grading and final delivery.
Sky's expert observational eye has carried him from the front lines of history to the heart of life-saving interventions. He has documented defining public moments including Los Angeles' first Black Lives Matter protest, Iranian demonstrations, climate marches and culturally significant public gatherings, while also completing four major self-driven journeys across Africa to photograph remote landscapes, communities, wildlife and conservation teams. Across more than 1,000 hours inside human operating rooms and wildlife field interventions around the world, he has worked alongside surgeons, medical outreach teams and African veterinarians—capturing not only the urgency and precision of their work, but the courage, humanity and extraordinary stories unfolding beyond public view. In the Kalahari, that has included hands-on giraffe and rhino interventions where every image had to be made with instinct, sensitivity and absolute awareness of the mission around him.
We have consulted on and produced photography and video assignments for Namibia's leading eco-conservancy lodge group, The Gondwana Collection Namibia—self-driving across the country in one of their rental Jeeps and recording our adventures between more than 15 luxury eco-lodges.
